C-Quence Continues Rapid Expansion with Seven Key Hires and the Introduction of “Doc Reeder” Virtual Assistant

3 December 2024 – C-Quence, the digital managing general agent (MGA), is excited to announce the addition of seven new team members across its P&C Underwriting, Technology & Operations, and Finance departments, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering unparalleled service to brokers and clients.

CEO Jacqueline McNamee commented on C-Quence’s strategic growth:

The company is pleased to welcome Karlene Laycock, whose extensive P&C knowledge and expertise will play a pivotal role in further strengthening C-Quence’s underwriting capabilities. Joining her is Harry Metcalf as Assistant Underwriter, bringing his experience from the Australian market.

In addition to growing its P&C team, C-Quence is enhancing its IT, Operations, and Finance departments with the addition of Nikhil Mechery, Nathan Kumar, Bianca Alvarez, and Hannah Rule.
These six join Vonnek Augustus who has been part of the team since April and works on operational support, optimisation and process efficiency across all areas of the business.

Doc Reeder
As part of C-Quence’s drive for efficiency, the company has introduced Doc Reeder, the latest addition to its suite of Virtual Assistants. Fully integrated with the CQ Elements platform, Doc Reeder simplifies data input for P&C and Property Owners submissions through a simple drag-and-drop interface, saving brokers valuable administrative time and streamlining the process for greater accuracy and speed.

McNamee added, “After a period of training, Doc Reeder is ready, and the results are impressive. Brokers are already seeing the benefits in efficiency and accuracy, and more are choosing to submit P&C risks through this method.”

About our new hires
Karlene Laycock has joined Property & Casualty (P&C) Underwriting team. She comes to us with over 20 years of commercial underwriting experience most recently with Chubb. Having worked across a broad range of products, including Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined. Karlene is also a well-established figure in the Northern regional market, with a track record of fostering long-term client relationships.

Harry Metcalf joins the P&C underwriting team as assistant underwriter bringing experience from Chubb Australia and Zurich

Nikhil Mechery (Operations), Nathan Kumar (Front End Developer) and Bianca Alvarez (Business Analyst) join the IT and Operations team under Elliot Bigg’s leadership.

Nikhil has over 10 years’ experience in both operations and underwriting assistant roles, most recently working for Allianz.

Nathan has a wealth of experience in front end development and systems architecture most recent with Grip, the event platform.

Bianca is a Business Analyst with extensive experience leading transformative change IT, specialising in the general insurance industry.

Hannah Rule has joined us as Accounts Assistant working with Joe Bourne our CFO. She previously worked at Asta Management Services as a Client Finance Assistant working on behalf of MGAs. Based in our London office, Hannah will also take on important elements of our Compliance reporting.

Vonnek Augustus has an impressive background in insurance and commercial lines in Bermuda and has held a number of operational and underwriting roles throughout her career.

Doc Reeder our latest virtual assistant who joins Irene Newell, Polly Seachaser and Penny Hunter each of whom automatically carry out specific automated processes quickly and in a timely manner.
